RE: Full body paint vs Wrap?

You guys are missing the most obvious reason for a wrap is that you can have almost endless ideas for your customized designs as almost anything is possible to do on vinyl. Then you retain a copy of the design on a disk and at the design shop and if you ever need a new wrap, or part of a wrap, it is already on file and a new section could be sent out to you within a week. Let's say there was an accident on one corner of the coach, body shop fixes damage and then reapply that section of wrap and bingo your done and back on the road. Same concept if a section of the wrap, after a dozen years, has faded, then to re-order some sections would be very cost effective. I think that a wrap will let owners customize their coach to their own taste. Great idea!

RE: WIND NOISE IN GRILL

I have an 03 Dolphin LX that whistled anytime over 50mph. Factory sent me some rubber pieces to install in between grill louvers and that didn't work well at all. For 2004 National RV changed the grill so I told them to send me a 2004 grill and that did the trick! I suggest that you remove the grill (they are real easy to remove with only about 8 bolts) to make sure the noise is gone. I also had a whistle coming from my roof mounted air horns. Good luck!

RE: WARNING: DIAMON-FUSION / WINDSHIELD WARRANTY

I am an insurance agent, and I understand this is not an insurance contract, but I can only assume that a clause that states that you must call within 24 hours is there so that the company has an opportunity to repair the damage to the windshield before it begins to grow and spider out from its original damage before it becomes unrepairable. That being said, I do not believe that the contract that was written was done so fairly, because it would seem unreasonable to assume that the insured must call within such a short period of time. That is why most insurance companies offer free windshield repair for glass, but a deductible to replace the damaged glass. Did the delay in reporting the claim somehow further the damage to the windshield rendering the damage unrepairable? There is a common insurance clause that states that the insured is responsible to take reasonable steps to minimize and secure damaged property (in order to minimize insurance payout). Good luck on your recourse, if any.

RE: Who has painted their graphics

I had my dealer remove the vinyl graphics and paint on the graphics so that I don't have to worry about peeling or fading in the future. I liked how it turned out. The price was around $3000 I believe. Good Luck!

RE: Ford V-10 Chevy V-8

Don't forget until recently each manufacturer had it's own issues. Ford had numerous warped heads, blown spark plug holes and brake lock-up issues. Workhorse had burned-up spark plug wires and brake issues on W series. Old technology P series "wide tracks" had issues with parking brakes locking up and no Allison transmission. Now personally I like the "W" series because that 8.1 liter motor and Allison transmission are flawless. I'll take a burned up wire (never had one) over blown-out spark plugs anyday!!! When pulling close to 13 tons down the road there is only one thing that matters and that is engine displacement! 8.1 liter 8 cylinder with great low end torque over a Ford 7.4 liter high revving V-10.

RE: Full Bathroom vs Split Bathroom

We specifically chose an enclosed bathroom in our class A as we have children. I never understood why anyone would want a split bathroom that requires you to close off the back bedroom just to shower in privacy. My floorplan allows kids to watch tv in back bedroom while the wife showers in peace and quiet!!!

RE: Teleslide

No, as I am sure that National has a patent or pending on their Teleslide. That might be a reason for some other to company to buy-out National on the cheap- for their proprietary technology and high quality reputation.

RE: Koni FSD question

I have the adjustable Koni's and I am just wondering if anyone removed the adjustables for the FSD's. Are the FSD's supposed to be better than the adjustables?

RE: IRS takes 28% from claim check???

Did you pay your premiums with before tax money? I would not think so. So why would your insurance company take taxes out of your proceeds to make you whole again, there is no profit here.
